Akima has over 300 personnel supporting the Fort Gordon, GA, U.S. Army installation. Efforts include maintenance and repair of 1,574 structures for a total of 9.6 million square feet. In addition, Akima maintains 102 miles of primary roadways and 56,402 acres of grounds at Fort Gordon, which includes concrete and asphalt pavement repair and minor construction. We also operate and maintain 449 vehicles, manage transportation services, provide warehousing and supply services, and perform preventive maintenance and repair services for the installation’s HVAC units and chillers, central heating and cooling plants and boilers.
