Akima Facilities Management awarded defense contract

Akima Facilities Management, L.L.C., Anchorage, Alaska, was awarded a $41,754,027 cost-plus-award-fee contract. The award will provide for the base operations and maintenance support services for Fort Gordon, Ga. Work will be performed in Fort Gordon, Ga., with an estimated completion date of Sept. 30, 2012. The bid was solicited through the Internet, with six bids received. The U.S. Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Gordon, Ga., is the contracting activity (W911SE-07-C-0013).
