Sandy Halliwill


Sandy Halliwill, Chief Information Officer for NANA Development Corporation Commercial Group, develops and implements strategies for information technology, ensuring that IT employees and systems are working efficiently to meet company goals. In addition to staff development, her leadership functions include leveraging technology to enhance business performance and ensure the integrity of company IT assets.

Sandy brings more than 15 years of IT experience for companies such as BP Exploration, Ukpeagvik Inupiat Corporation and Koniag, Inc. Representative areas of expertise are information technology, accounting, human resources, internal audit, project management, procurement and supply chain management.

Sandy has improved organizational effectiveness, reduced costs, eliminated waste and managed risks. Her achievements include acquisition and deployment of new systems, reductions of IT operating budgets, increased quality of IT services, and staff development through training and motivation.

In addition to holding a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from Alaska Pacific University and an associate of applied science degree in computer science from University of Alaska Anchorage, Sandy has completed many professional development programs related to business management and leadership. She is a member of Sigma Beta Delta, an international honor society recognizing achievement in business, management, and administration.
