David W. Márquez

Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer David W. Márquez has substantial experience in the senior management of a large company and at the cabinet level of state government. He has been involved in the development of Alaska’s natural resources for over 30 years. He has served at the executive level of a Fortune 50 company ---participating in the overall management of the company, and leading teams of lawyers, landmen, and external affairs professionals, and health, safety, security and environmental quality practitioners. He has served as the Attorney General of Alaska, as one of six Trustees for the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation overseeing the investment of the Fund (then valued at over 30 billion dollars), and as one of three state Trustees, along with three federal Trustees, overseeing the management of the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill fund (then valued at over 140 million dollars). He is a Rotarian and has served on the boards and executive committees of many non-profit corporations including serving as chair of the Alaska State Chamber of Commerce and Junior Achievement of Alaska. As COO of NANA Development Corporation, he is responsible for managing and monitoring the business operations of the corporation and all its subsidiaries.
